Currently, the EX-SDI cameras and recorders on our site are 1080p and 4MP. We anticipate new 4K (8MP) EX-SDI cameras either in 2019-Q4, with more cameras and the 4K DVRs by 2020.
EX-SDI (Extended Serial Digital Interface) cameras can transmit at up to 4K Ultra HD resolution for compressed video over coaxial cable. This means you can easily upgrade your CCTV system to 3840x2160 resolution by replacing your DVR and cameras, without the need for re-wiring.
Unlike HD-SDI technology, which is limited to 1080p (1920x1080) EX-SDI can be transmitted over either Coax or network cable with EX-SDI baluns.
Here are the main advantages over IP Network Cameras:
- No bandwidth issues.
- No pre-configuration of assigning IP information to individual cameras
- No latency.
- Zero learning
